The blogosphere can be inspirational, educational and uplifting. It can also be unkind, fake and equivalent to a bag of manure! I hope my homilies are none of the latter – I am sure that the odd one might be perceived as useful as fertiliser.

I want this site to record the words and observations I am sometimes afraid to say from the pulpit. I am never sacred to preach “truth” or how to apply it, but sometimes I refrain giving the whole fruit because it might shock or unnerve the silent parishioner who has simply come to Mass to pray and did not sign up to hear the musings of a portly middle aged priest.

This site will be my other pulpit – nothing unkind and nothing uncharitable, only the odd viewpoint inspired by the values of Christ and His church – which might unsettle, or affirm. A fruit of the spirit with the odd unpalatable hard stone thrown in.
